Paulusma - Somehow Anyhow
He seemed to have disappeared from the radar, but nothing could be further from the truth. 'Something came along'. Jelle Paulusma - best known as the frontman of Daryll-Ann, the indie pop princes of the '90s - put his last record in the freezer, due to the unexpectedly great success of the CSNY tribute sensation Her Majesty. But now it's time for his own work again. Somehow Anyhow is his fifth solo album and is once again full of indie pop of the highest level. 'This record is a logical continuation of my previous record Pulling Weeds (according to Het Parool 'Dutch rock record of the year') and is contemplative in the same way. There is always a link with the time in which I live and how I experience it. Sometimes that is personal, sometimes social. Somehow Anyhow will be released on March 22 by Excelsior Recordings and Paulusma and his live band can be seen on stages throughout the country from May.
