'Zonder Pardon' is the new EP by Dutch rhythm box sensation Don Melody Club, the brainchild and solo project of Donald Madjid, who earned his stripes as a member of festival favorite The Mauskovic Dance Band.
On 'Zonder Pardon' the listener is catapulted into a seductive underwater jungle of uptempo drum machine rhythms, pulsating bass lines and funky melodies. The synths and vocals on single 'Tederheid' show echoes of the better work of Talking Heads and Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) and the vocal lines of 'Koud Kwartier' recall the Nederwave of Doe Maar, but the end product is unmistakably Don Melody Club, who debuted on Excelsior Recordings with the previously released single 'T'Materiaal'.
He gained fame with his first solo album 'Pure Donzin' from 2021 and a well-received 7'' single on the internationally renowned label Bongo Joe. With performances at Le Guess Who, Grasnapolsky and as the opening act for an extensive Goldband tour, Don Melody Club definitively put himself on the map as a solo artist.
