Sterrenlopen is the new album by Wende. It includes the singles 'Het Is Genoeg', 'Dit Is Alles' and 'Bloed In Mijn Bloed'. Sterrenlopen was written and composed by Wende, in collaboration with S10, Froukje, Jens van der Meij, Sim Fane and Koen van de Ward (Klangstof). It also includes a number of songs from her latest theatre show 'de Wildernis' with which she toured the Netherlands and Belgium in 2022

Her new album describes her quest to look at herself and others. To come to the conclusion that together we can get much further than alone. For real solidarity, courage is needed.

Wende says about this: 'I think that most people mainly want to be seen as they hope to be. We want to meet an ideal image. But if everyone wants to be seen, who will still look?'

Wende's versatility as an artist is once again evident at Sterrenlopen. She moves effortlessly between different musical styles, ranging from pop and electronic to jazz and classical, and has been combining these styles for years in groundbreaking interdisciplinary albums and performances. Her trophy cabinet reflects this diversity; she has won an Edison in almost every category and was nominated for a Golden Calf as an actress. Wende started her career in 2003 and has since made six albums and five of her own performances, both at home and abroad. In 2017, she curated Kaleidoscoop, for which she entered into challenging collaborations with Typhoon, Blaudzun and S10, among others. With her successful performances MENS and De Wildernis, she performs in sold-out theaters and clubs throughout the country, as well as at festivals such as Down The Rabbit Hole and Into the Great Wide Open. Her album MENS won the Edison Pop Award 2019 in the category Best Album and was nominated for Best Dutch-language Album.
