Dawn Brothers’ new album, Alpine Gold , is a return to the energy of their debut, Stayin’ Out Late , and includes a story-telling song featuring Sheryl Crow, Eddie Vedder and Cat Stevens – so you know what’s going on. The songs that ended up on Alpine Gold were written in two months and then recorded at the Electric Monkey studio in Zaandam, where the band retreated with producer Paul Willemsen. The songs that eventually came to fruition form an authentic collection of songs with a touch of mysticism, with intuition and instinct as key words. “No bullshit, just making a good record with strong songs,” according to the band.
They may be the epitome of modesty in everyday life, but on Alpine Gold the Dawn Brothers are not afraid to open Pandora's Box.
