The Amsterdam indie rock formation Loupe has the unique gift of sounding both rushed and hypnotic at the same time. Impulsive and exciting: a fluid sound in which styles such as synthpop, alternative folk and indie rock are expressed in an idiosyncratic way. Annemarie's smooth, aerodynamic grooves, Lana's melodic bass lines and Abel's dynamic, virtuoso playing together form a kind of secret language. Songs like I Keep Changing , Vortex and Holding Me Too Tight are full of subtle twists that use major life dilemmas in a light-hearted way.

The band’s debut album, Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next? (Excelsior and Sinnbus), was met with critical and press acclaim. The vibrant collage-like album artwork, created by Ukrainian artist Karaska, shows the band standing on top of a building, as colors and images spread out around them. Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next? was recorded with producer Arne van Petegem (Moss, Styrofoam) and mixed by Beau Sorenson (Death Cab For Cutie, Sparklehorse).

In July 2023, Nina Ouattara replaced singer and co-founder Julia Korthouwer as the new voice of Loupe. In doing so, the band honors the music and themes behind Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next?, in order to take a new creative path within the new line-up in the spring of 2024.
