MOON

When you think of psychedelic blues rock with garage and surf influences, you don't immediately think of three young neighbours from the Brabant village of Aarle-Rixtel. But the sixties and seventies are really the soup kitchen where the band members of MOOON (Tom de Jong, Gijs de Jong and Timo van Lierop) continue to get their inspiration.

The debut MOOON's Brew starts with the sound of a can of beer being opened and the successor Safari was released on Animal Day. Another relic from the past, concept thinking. The band couldn't care less, all they want to do is make 'Good Music'. The Belgian Dansende Beren writes "from MOOON your hair grows down to your shoulders, your white work shirt gets covered in flower patterns, and at the bakery an LSD paper might just show up in your change." And that under a headline with chocolate counters: 'The trip of your life'.

Fuck Elon Musk. Go MOOON!
