Spinfish

At Easter, Spinvis revealed his new album, adorned with the primal scream that accompanied the birth of rock & roll. Be-Bop-A-Lula is Spinvis' seventh and perhaps his best.

The pop album, preceded by the singles Lente '22 and Paradijs l, will be accompanied by a club tour through the Netherlands and Belgium this autumn.

A look into Spinvis' kaleidoscope is never the same. And yet you know immediately who you are dealing with. In the sweat of the festival field, the darkness of the club, the plush of the theatre or the echo of your own windowsill: his music brings everyone who is open to it together in the same mood. A touch melancholic, but hopeful, free and with a view to the future.

Erik de Jong, aka Spinvis, has become one of the most idiosyncratic and versatile artists in the Dutch pop landscape in twenty years. His successful debut album from 2002 seemed difficult to follow, but he still managed to match that quality with wonderfully melancholic records such as Dagen Van Gras, Dagen Van Stro (2005), Tot Ziens, Justine Keller (2011) and Trein Vuur Dageraad (2017). His number 1 album 7.6.9.6. from 2020 also made all the year-end lists.
