Alex Roeka - Night Cafe

In 2010 Alex Roeka signed a contract with Excelsior Recordings. Since then he has recorded six albums, which are generally considered to be among the best that Dutch music has ever produced. The variety of musical angles and his poetic expressiveness have been praised by the press and the public for years. Subjects such as unrest, hunger for life, loss, protest and desire are given an extra charge by Roeka through the autobiographical approach, which is unique in the world of Dutch songs. The fact that he does not shy away from the dark sides of life and love gives his work a stimulating depth and refreshing scope. A double LP and double CD are now being released under the title 'Nachtcafé', on which the best of Alex Roeka from the Excelsior years is collected.
