The Flemish-Belgian electro band ARBEID ADELT! was founded in 1981 and debuted in 19983 with the now Belpop classic Jonge Helden. The group split up a few years later, partly due to Vanthilt's departure to London where he presents for MTV Europe. A return follows in 1990 with the album Des Duivels Oorkussen and Methode Champenoise in '94.
Then it remains quiet for a long time. 2015 brings the true reawakening: a completely new album, released by Excelsior Recordings. Van Acker, Vanroelen & Vanthilt return to the core: biting rhythm tracks, pumping grooves, sharp guitars and pointed lyrics. Newwave anno 2015!
Arne 'Styrofoam' Van Petegem produced the album Slik, the first in 21 years. Musically a return to the core: biting rhythms, pumping grooves, sharp guitars, screeching sax and pointed lyrics. The new album will be released (digital, cd & vinyl) on October 30th. The live premiere will take place on November 11th in the Brussels Beursschouwburg.
