Danny Vera - The New Black and White Part III

Danny Vera will release The New Black & White Pt. III on October 6. The third in the series that Danny Vera - in addition to his regular albums - will release on CD and 10” vinyl. The New Black & White always contains a number of his own tracks that are supplemented with defining covers. The music is recorded in the SSE Noord studio of Frans Hagenaars. At least, almost all the songs are recorded there, because Pt. III contains a cover of And I Love Her by The Beatles that Danny Vera recorded at home with his iPhone. He also covered One More Try by Timmy T and Baby Don't Go by Close II You. In addition to the covers, The New Black & White Pt. III contains the song Running & Hiding - the very first thing Danny Vera ever wrote. There is the protest song Snow in April with very current lyrics and an impressive big band performance. And then there is the moving Toothpick Louie. He wrote this in memory of his father who passed away last year on October 7. All in all a very diverse record with many different themes, music and instrumentation, but undeniably Danny Vera. After a busy summer with many festivals it is time for him to go to the theaters again. First with a band and then solo. But before that Danny Vera will be in a sold out Paradiso on October 7.
