The Young Bosch Pheasant & Meindert Talma - Scandalous
De Jonge Boschfazant and Meindert Talma are taking to the barricades with the album Scandalous . The long player with 14 critical reviews will be released on March 24 via Excelsior Recordings. The gentlemen are fed up and they are making it heard. Take for example the single 'De Toekomst':

Since 2015, the philosopher and bird watcher De Jonge Boschfazant (lyricist) and Meindert Talma (composer), who live in Westeremden, have been writing songs that they sing every month as the closing song in the monthly Meindert & Igor & De Jonge Boschfazant & Kesanova Show in the Kroeg van Klaas in Groningen.
In the corona years 2020 and 2021, the show was housed in Vera and the duo asked the instrumental organ band Das Audio Combo (André Dodde on Hammond and other keys, Jan Veenkamp on bass and Arnold Veenkamp on drums) if they could accompany them. That worked so well that Arjan Spies (The Kik) recorded 14 songs in his Studio Teepdek for the debut album.
As a philosopher, De Jonge Boschfazant makes lyrics that you don't see very often. They have internal and external rhyme and consist of two types of lyrics: socially critical protest songs (the majority) and human interest songs that are based on the found footage method: De Jonge Boschfazant occasionally scours flea markets and thrift stores in the province of Groningen for photo albums, and photos on old laptops and smartphones. He then edits the found photos into a clip to which he writes a human interest song text. See the clip of Eindelijk vakantie.
Scandalous will be released both digitally and in a deluxe CD edition including a beautiful booklet with illustrations, designed by Edd Simons.
