'Monster en Freaks, Indiepop Voor Beginners' is the Dutch-language debut album by Djurre de Haan and will be released on September 17th on Excelsior Recordings. Djurre made three studio albums in the capacity of singer-songwriter AWKWARD i (the fourth long player is in the planning).

'Monsters en Freaks' is an anthology of De Haan's best work that he composed over the years for TV, film and theatre. On the album we find songs that were used for the highly acclaimed series Kamp Koekieloekie that was recently broadcast by the NTR, songs for the theatre production Lampje (based on the successful children's book by Annet Schaap) and two duets that Djurre recorded together with Tim Knol for the programme Beestieboys.

The music of Djurre de Haan has not gone unnoticed. He received two Golden Calf nominations and can count Nico Dijkshoorn among his admirers.
