Believe me, there are few bands that sound as possessed and driven as these three men from Groningen. The ripping organ, fuzz-drenched guitars and two furious singers alone make Green Hornet a league on its own.
In October, the new album Never Enough will be released on Excelsior Recordings. It is already the fifth long player by these godfathers of Dutch garage rock. In its long existence, Green Hornet stubbornly continued to follow its own musical course, which usually went upstream. The men did not make it easy for themselves. But that is precisely why Green Hornet now inspires a new generation of garage and rock & roll bands.
Their hair is longer, their heads more furrowed and the illusions of youth have been shaken off. The world may have changed, but for Green Hornet one thing remains eternal: the insatiable hunger for wild rock & roll, total dedication and the urge to go further than is healthy.
On Never Enough, Green Hornet wallows in swampy swamp rock, filthy soul, angular punk, enchanting organ instrumentals and a whole lotta fuzz. Fat and aggressive, but above all soulful, intense and stripped down to the bone. The hardest part of recording that record? Making it sound as good as when these godfathers of Dutch garage play live!
