Henk Koorn and his band Hallo Venray are actually the Benjamin Button of Dutch indie. Where normal people get older, Koorn and his band seem to get younger and more vital every year. For more than 30 years, Koorn has been making music with bass guitarist Peter Konings and drummer Henk Jonkers that is always urgent. They can't do otherwise. The inner necessity radiates from it. It swings, it grates, it is cheerful and melancholic at the same time.
