Quartet Niek Hilkmann - A Funny Story / Nice That You Were There

The Niek Hilkmann Quartet is back with a new vinyl single, featuring two somewhat melancholic songs.

“There is much that one should not forget,” says Niek, “that the IJsselmonde horse market has been cancelled before, that Noorderkempen is between Breda and Antwerp, that 1 swallow does not make a summer, and that everything can always be different. There is little that does not become more complicated in a person's mind. It is “a funny story” with a confusing clue. From our Fletcher hotel in Klein Zwitserland we write that we miss our backyard. It was “nice that you were there”, but who can figure that out?”
