Sander Pleij of Vrij Nederland once described him as 'the Netherlands' most unknown pop star'. Meindert Talma adopted that description as a nickname and used it as the title for a series of novels with CD in which he records his rise as a musician and writer. Cellar fever was the first part and this book immediately undermined that qualification as the Netherlands' most unknown pop star. After its publication, Talma did interviews, received positive reviews and performed frequently on radio, television (De Wereld Draait Door) and at festivals.

Now follows part 2: You think it's coming. The book covers the years 1997-2001, in which Meindert quickly makes a name for himself as a singer-songwriter after his debut album Hondert Punten (1997) and immediately plays at Lowlands and Crossing Border that year. Main themes in the tragicomic cycle are Meindert's burning ambition to get ahead as a musician, his (sometimes problematic) love life, family affairs and his adventures with the members of the Stichting Hobbyrock, a foundation that aims to express itself in as many media forms as possible. The songs on the CD are inextricably linked to the book.
