OWN - OWN

The members of OWN live and work in Amsterdam. In a metropolis the size of a village, blood easily flows where it can't go. Collaboration and cross-pollination seem to be constant factors in the diverse cultural scene that the capital is rich in. OWN emerged via detours and along untrodden paths. The three members showed within their individual backgrounds in visual arts, design and DJing that they liked to explore the edges of the unknown. That mentality seeps through in the music they make. At times you can label it as naive or even awkward, but it is always sincere and uncompromising. Without traditional musical backgrounds or formal musical training, OWN's approach ensures a confident and uninhibited sound, which seems to resonate with the original mentality of their home city.
