Let's get straight to the point: The lyrics of 'Some More Time', the Excelsior Recordings label debut of Americana veteran Philip Kroonenberg, were written in the waiting rooms of hospitals, where he was waiting while his wife was being treated for a serious illness. The music originated at home. All's well that ends well, his wife has fortunately recovered. It has led to Kroonenberg's most personal album in his long career. Together with - among others - his daughters, drummer Jeroen Kleijn and multi-musician Reyer Zwart, he recorded the album with producer Frans Hagenaars in The New Studio Sound Enterprise in Amsterdam Noord. The rootsy singer-songwriter Philip Kroonenberg is known for the again active Freelance Band and Personnel that he started with fellow singer-songwriter Ad Vanderveen. With the emotionally profound and layered Americana album Some More Time, the veteran makes his glorious debut on the Excelsior Recordings label.
