The reprint of the new album will be released on August 18th.

IK is the new album by Ploegendienst, the 100% Anti Alles band around artist and Smib founder Ray Fuego. A record that almost didn't happen because they had already given up hope. They hadn't seen or spoken to each other for a year and a half - let alone played a show. At that dark moment, drummer Bram (Adolf Butler, Malle Pietje and the Bimbo's) came with good news: there appeared to be a substantial amount of money left in the band's pot. His plan: four days to Vlieland with the band to record new music. If it didn't work out, it would be a nice holiday and they would call it quits. However, the island (dark, stormy, deserted) turned out to be a perfect breeding ground for the band and IK is the result. An album that sounds like genuine punk, but is described by Ray as being gothic: "I tried to imagine the music I would listen to if I had a castle, and I would drive away from that castle in my BMW. What song would I want to hear then?" What is also noticeable about IK, is that the tone is more serious than on the previous work of Ploegendienst. Lyrically, Ray Fuego has become more personal and poetic. The album IK will be released on April 28 via Excelsior Recordings in collaboration with Smib.
