Yorick van Norden & Anne Soldaat - Unsung Heroes Too

A generation gap of over twenty years between singer-songwriters Yorick van Norden (1986) and Anne Soldaat (1965) is quickly bridged by their shared taste in music. On the second part of the Unsung Heroes series, they once again perform songs by heroes and heroines who have been forgotten against their will. All these musicians from the heyday of pop, the sixties and seventies of the last century, have a story of misery and/or a bizarre coincidence of circumstances. Among the underrated artists selected by the occasional duo are names such as John Cale, Sandy Denny, Gerry Rafferty, Tim Buckley, Nicky Hopkins and Michael Nesmith. The album, produced by Frans Hagenaars, was played by Anne and Yorick, with the help of drummer Kees Schaper, bassist Danny van Tiggele and keyboard player Paul Bond. Van Norden and Soldaat will take the album on an extensive theatre tour through the country.
