Bouke Sweet

Bouke Zoete is the singer and songwriter of The Kevin Costners. He debuted in 2008 with the album Come On In on Excelsior Recordings. In 2014 Pick Up The Parts followed . At Happy Camper, Zoete worked on two albums ( Happy Camper from 2011 and The Daily Drumbeat in 2014) and managed to win an Edison with this colorful company. In addition to being a musician, Bouke Zoete works as creative director at Het Ministerie van Positieve Zaken. He is the father of 2 children and lives in a forest in the Belgian Lippelo.
“Debuteren voor bevordering” is what he calls his first solo album, released in 2020. In a small studio in Antwerp, Million Miles was created with the help of musicians who have earned their spurs with artists such as Arno, Tony Allen and Admiral Freebee. A collection of blue-eyed soul songs that find their own sound somewhere between Paolo Nutini and Calexico. The release had a long preliminary process. “If you've been dreaming of making a record like this since you were 16, what does an extra year of patience actually mean?” That lack of any form of haste or desire to please works out well in a genre that thrives on contemplation.
