Collection: Clean Pete

Intertwined interplay and unison singing as only intertwined genes can bring; you are certainly familiar with the sensational appearance Clean Pete. Two sisters as irreplaceable as they are interchangeable - and somewhere in between songs that without batting an eyelid and yet much blushing hang your heart upside down.

It is a rarity. Artists who are as much cabaret as indie. Who play the theatre as easily as your favourite pop venue. Yet that is exactly what Clean Pete does. Their albums are full of everyday observations that are cast into songs with extreme precision and pain. A cello slumbers relentlessly into a song and Loes cuts down a lover with a light, almost apologetic sneer in her voice.

With the expansion of the band and the inclusion of surf riffs, drum fills and Beach Boys melodies, Clean Pete increasingly develops into a full-blown pop group. As Blondie said: Clean Pete is a band. Until they break your heart, then they're a shit band.
