BLUE FLAMINGO - METROPOLYPHONICA 'COLOR CONTEST'
On June 3rd, Blue Flamingo's new album Metropolyphonica will be released. That's why we're having a coloring contest. Ziya Ertekin, aka Blue Flamingo, explains:
WHY A COLOR CONTEST?
People who know my previous albums know that I always put a lot of effort into the design. Craftsmanship and manual work are my top priorities. The regular LP and CD covers already look spectacular because of the real fluorescent ink with which they are printed. In addition, I have colored about forty covers completely by hand for an ultra limited 'Hand Colored by the Artist' series. Nowadays, the computer dictates and I noticed how nice it was to just make something with my hands again. That is why I challenge you to a DIY 'Handmade by the Listeners' series!
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?
Although it is called a coloring contest, all techniques are allowed. Markers, paint, crepe paper, crayons, collage techniques; the only restriction is your own imagination.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Send a photo or file of the result to the following email address: info@excelsior-recordings.com
I would also like it if you share your 'artwork' on your socials with '#metropolyphonica' and '@blueflamingo78' so that a digital exhibition can be created.
WHAT IS THERE TO WIN?
1st Prize: Signed ultra limited 'Hand Colored by the Artist' LP edition.
2nd Prize: Signed regular LP edition, printed with fluorescent ink.
3rd prize: Limited edition CD version of my album.
The deadline for submission is June 3.
